Estella Fridy's Memorial Video 1Jul 23, 2011
My mother Estella passed away on July 10th. I tried to create a video of highlights from the service for those who couldn't attend. A second video containing an excerpt from the Eulogy was also made. An earlier video entitled 'Wet Screening Early 1600's Relics' shows her being part of our Chapter's archaeology work on Thanksgiving Day 2007. One of my first videos description on this site ('Daddy - Bobby Troup') shares her friendship with Bobby. She always emphasized what a wonderful dancer he was. The day of her burial was sunny and hot. As the service started a beautiful pattern of clouds appeared overhead. Since mother loved clouds, this was especially symbolic for us. This can be seen at the end of the video. Slide shows of Estellas life will be available in the coming months. She died on Friday at the Heart of Lancaster. Stel is survived by her husband, James Harrison Fridy and her son James Thomas Fridy. She was preceded in death by a brother, Alfred. In November 2010 I posted my dog's picture on Pet finder when a neighbor let my dog out of our back yard fence and he ran away. Being a rescue dog from a shelter, he is very afraid a people. I posted signs in a 12 mile radius from my house, consulted psychics, and used my facebook account to spread the word about my dog. After 4 months I gave up hope. We had no sightings, and we had the worst winter weather on record. Over 42 inches of snow! Another woman was looking for her missing dog, when she got a call that a dog was seen at a local cemetery(10 miles from my home.) She went to the cemetery and took a picture with her phone-it wasn't her dog but the crew there said they had been feeding him since Thanksgiving. She went on petfinder and found my picture of Charlie. I met her at the cemetery and brought my dog home! Over the past 4 months I have been looking for any signs that my dog was out there. I am thankful Sue went on the site and found my ad. A very happy tail!!!
